Mack and Mae – Government Control?

April 2nd, 2009 | by Jared |

//"feds"This is a proposal by some lawmakers which was more than just stiffly opposed by the housing industry that has seen minimal government control in the past years. The proposal came as lawmakers are trying to find a way of avoiding the same problems from haunting them and in the long run, to protect the American public as a whole who suffers most from such economic crisis. Both parties being the largest home lenders in the US are quite silent on the matter with guarantees from the President himself for support to the two giants in the housing industry may it be expressed verbatim or not. The Housing Industry has been a self-governed body so far and they strongly oppose such a move for according to them it would diffuse the line the HUD operates on, separating them from the private corporate industry that is Real Estate industry.
Call it corporate attitude or call it reasonable, but people can care less as long as they get homes to live in, all without places to live due to the rash of foreclosures that had swept the nation since the housing market collapsed last year. The many homes that would be made available will benefit the millions of people who are thrown out of their homes due to marketed products that had no security behind them, conjured up by the same geniuses up there in corporate America who are opposed to the proposed legislation.
